  • Our Reviews Speak for Themselves

I had to remove two palm trees in my yard. They were not tall but blocked natural lights. I contacted Rolando and he gave me an estimate next day. I compared the price in the area and Aj’s price was competitive. I told Rolando that I want to get it done asap. He said he can come the same day. In 3 hours, he came with his crews. They climbed up the tree and cut from the top. And they ground the root. My house now has much better views and natural lights. I am very happy with A&J’s service and will use them again if I have any tree work.

MIKE HILTON, NEW YORK

Rolando and his crew at A & J Tree Service did a fantastic job at trimming our Jacaranda Tree. After obtaining multiple quotes from various Arborists, A&J came out on top. Not only was the quote very fair, I was impressed by Rolando’s knowledge and flexibility in completing the project. Last and certainly not least, the 400+ five star yelp reviews speak for themselves. A&J are our go-to tree trimming service, and I most definitely recommend A&J to family and friends.

Our Projects

1. Check for certifications: Look for an arborist who is certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or other accredited bodies. This ensures that the arborist has the necessary training and knowledge to handle tree-related issues.

2. Experience and reputation: Look for an arborist with years of experience in the field. Read reviews and testimonials from their previous clients to get an idea of their work quality and ethics.

3. Insurance and licensing: An arborist should have valid liability insurance and necessary licenses that comply with local regulations. This ensures that you are protected in case of any accidents or damages during the project.

4. Services offered: Look for an arborist who offers a wide range of services, such as tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, fertilization, and pest control. This will save you time and money, as you won’t have to look for multiple professionals for different services.

5. Pricing: Compare pricing from multiple arborists to ensure that you are paying a fair price for the services. However, avoid choosing an arborist solely based on the price, as cheaper rates may indicate low-quality work or lack of experience.

6. Availability: Choose an arborist who is available to provide immediate assistance in case of an emergency, such as storm damage, fallen trees, or tree hazards. This ensures that the problem is handled quickly and efficiently.

Frequently Asked Questions About Finding the Best Arborist in La Mirada

What makes an arborist the best?

An arborist with the best qualifications and years of experience in the field is someone you can trust. A professional who has a high level of knowledge in tree care and is affiliated with a reputable organization like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) would be considered among the best arborists.

How can I verify if an arborist is certified?

Ask the arborist for their certification number and verify it against the database of the certifying agency such as the ISA or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) website. You can also ask the arborist for a copy of their certification credentials.

What questions should I ask a potential arborist?

Ask if they are licensed and insured, their certification and affiliations, their experience and their qualifications. You can also ask for references and if they have a portfolio of previous work which you can inspect.

An arborist, tree surgeon, or (less commonly) arboriculturist, is a professional in the practice of arboriculture, which is the cultivation, management, and testing of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and new perennial woody natural world in dendrology and horticulture.

La Mirada (Spanish for the look) was the initiation of two men, Andrew McNally, a printer and mapmaker from Chicago (see Rand McNally) and his son-in-law Edwin Neff. In 1888, McNally purchased on summit of 2,200 acres (8.9 km2) of Rancho Los Coyotes, south of Whittier, for $200,000. He developed 700 acres (2.8 km2) into his own home called Windermere Ranch and surrounded it following olive, orange and lemon groves. McNally built a plant to process the olive oil, which was of the best quality, as without difficulty as a railroad station on Stage Road. From here his olive oil and fruit were shipped whatever over the U.S.
